Water Damage Repair
Dropped in water, the pool or the toilet — the faster you bring it in, the more we can save
Water alone rarely kills a phone instantly — the real damage comes from corrosion, which starts minutes after contact as moisture and minerals oxidize the components on the board. That's why time is the most important factor: the sooner you bring it in, the more parts we can save.
Our protocol includes opening the device, cleaning with electronics-grade isopropyl alcohol and ultrasonic cleaning when needed, professional drying, and a microscope inspection of the board to catch active corrosion before it spreads further. If any components are damaged, we quote the replacement before doing any work.
Important: don't put the phone in rice or try to charge it while wet — both can make the damage worse. Power it off, dry the outside, and bring it in as soon as possible to Kendall or Hialeah.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a wet phone always be saved?
We can't promise 100% every time, but most devices that come in the same day, without having been charged while wet, make a full recovery. The diagnostic is free, so there's no risk in bringing it in for a check.
Does putting it in rice work?
No. Rice doesn't actually pull moisture out of the device's interior, and it gives corrosion more time to spread while you wait. The right move is to power it off and bring it in as soon as possible for professional drying and cleaning.
Is water damage repair covered by warranty?
The cleaning work and any parts we replace carry a 90-day warranty. Because of how liquid damage behaves, some issues can surface later from residual corrosion; we'll walk you through your device's specific risk level before we repair it.
